Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 LT- 7(C) STR BS-III

The Tavera has started to look more dated considering its far more contemporary competitors. The Tavera uses a 2.5 litre turbo diesel that puts out 80bhp and 19kgm of torque. This is good number for a car , but as a people carrier it starts laggingbehind. The car is apt for city driving but the flaws become rather apperant when the car hits the highway. The brakes and the gearshift work well and teh compact design make the car easy to drive.  The Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 is a long name indeed. The new Tavera, or Tavera Neo 3 as we’ll refer to it in this road test, has been in the Indian market for less than a decade, but has proved to be a virtuous performer in its segment. This has ensured that the Tavera today forms a key model in Chevrolet India’s line-up and is among its more profitable offerings. The Chevrolet Tavera started life as an Isuzu Panther. General Motors at one time held a controlling stake in Isuzu (now no longer), which is how the Tavera nee Panther found its way to Indian shores.

Even today, the Panther is a strong selling MUV/pick-up in markets all over South-east Asia, notably in Indonesia. One of the oldest automobile manufacturing companies from the United States of America – General Motors, who sell their vehicles in the Indian car market under the brand name of Chevrolet India have finally announced the official launch date of their Multi Utility Vehicle – the all new Chevrolet Tavera Neo. This latest version of Chevrolet Tavera Neo is expected to be integrated with a BS IV complaint 4 cylinder car engine. This performance packed and powerful 2.0 liter common rail diesel car engine will have the capacity to generate a maximum power of 106.8 Ps along with a thumping torque of 263.7 Nm.

There has been a little tinkering with the interiors of Chevrolet Tavera Neo to give it an urbane feel. Chevrolet is GM's largest brand, currently offering over 20 vehicles and many different enhanced versions in its home market. The brand's vehicles range from subcompact cars to medium duty commercial trucks. Its number one sellers in the United States include the Silverado pickup, which is the second best-selling vehicle in the United States (after the Ford F-150) and the Impala, which is the number one selling car with a domestic nameplate in the United States.

The company was established in 1911, and the bowtie logo first appeared in 1914. Legend maintains that the bowtie shape was inspired by a pattern of wallpaper in a Paris hotel room. William Durant reportedly detached a small piece and kept it in his wallet, waiting for the day he'd put it to use. The bowtie has, since then, become an advertising icon, and is still the marquee of today's Chevrolet. Chevrolet is among the newest brands in India launched by GM's Indian operations. Until June 6, 2003 (the official birthday of Chevrolet), GM India (which was originally a joint venture with Hindustan Motors) sold the Opel Corsa, Opel Astra, and the Opel Vectra. The Corsa and Astra were built at a plant in Halol, Gujarat.
